Stamps fill in as you earn badges. A grown-up signs in to keep them on every device.
How signing in works
- A grown-up types their email. I email a 6-digit code. Type the code and you are in. No password to forget.
- The code lasts 10 minutes. Ask for a new one any time.
- You stay signed in on that device for about 90 days, or until you press Sign out.
What My Lab remembers
- Lessons you finished in Learn with Joseph, so your badges follow you from the phone to the laptop.
- Lab Points for learning, visiting my stall and ordering. Rules and rewards are on the Lab Points page.
- A first name (optional) so I can say howdy properly. Leave it blank if you like. A nickname is great too.
Not signed up for anything yet?
You do not need an account to learn or to shop. The courses work without one; your badges just stay in that one browser. Sign in when you want them to follow you.
A note from Dad about privacy
My Lab is an account for a parent or guardian, not for a child. We ask for one thing: the grown-up's email address, which we use to send the sign-in code and reward codes, and nothing else. There is no password, so there is no password to leak.
The only detail about a child the account can hold is an optional first name or nickname that the grown-up chooses to type. It is never shown to anyone else, never published and never used for marketing. Progress, points and badges are numbers and lesson ids, nothing more.
The account record lives in our Shopify store as a customer entry tagged lab-account, so a grown-up who already ordered from us has one record, not two. Signing in to My Lab does not add you to the Lab List newsletter; that is a separate form with its own opt-in. To see or delete everything we hold, email joseph@texastoylab.com and it is done.
